Welcome to Christian Heart!

Hi...we are glad you stopped by!
The purpose of our page is to introduce you to Jesus Christ.
First we want to say...this page is nondenominational. We only desire for you to come to know Jesus as your personal savior. There is so much trash out there in cyber-space, we felt the need to bring to you the joy of knowing that there is hope when there seems no hope....there is help when you have no one else to turn to because....
...god so loved the world......

Who is Jesus?

Jesus is the second person of the trinity of God. He is God in the flesh and He lived on earth almost 2000 years ago. God loved us so much that He gave a part of Himself to us in the person of Jesus. Jesus lived among us as ALL man but He was also ALL God too. He made Himself a little lower than the angels to live here on earth with us. While here, Jesus' misson was to teach us how to have a personal relationship with God, how to live a holy life here on earth, and most of all to give His life as the ultimate sacrifice for your and my sins. Understand, when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden, they exiled you and me from God. God is so holy that He can not look upon sin itself, and through Adam and Eve all of us are born with that sin nature. I guess it's what you might call just being human. God wants to have a personal relationship with you, as He did so long ago with Adam and Eve. Jesus made that possible through the shedding of His precious blood on calvary. Through Jesus, we can have that relationship, because when we claim the blood of Jesus upon our lives, God the Father doesn't see sin anymore. He sees someone who loves Him and wants to know Him. And Jesus made that all possible.

Why Do We Need Jesus

crossbar

If you read the home page you can understand why we need Jesus! Jesus, the one who loved us so much that He laid down His life for us, is the key to a personal relationship with God the Father. If you desire to have a relationship with Almighty God you must go through His precious Son Jesus.
Jesus says in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth, and the life: and no man cometh unto the Father, but by Him.
So when I hear that question (Why Do We Need Jesus) I think the only difference between a christian and non-christian is what Jesus gives us... which is fellowship with the Creator, God the Father and He also gives us PEACE!
Sweet, sweet PEACE!

With this Peace We know...
  • That He loved us enough to die for us!
  • That His blood is sufficient to wipe away all our sins!
  • That in this life, He gave us the Holy Spirit, to help us through each and everyday!
  • That We have the promise of eternal life with Him in heaven!
  • That no matter what...Jesus is by our side!
  • That there is no greater love than His love!
  • That Father God and you are in personal communion with each other.

How can anyone live in this world today without that PEACE down deep in your soul? Do you desire a personal relationship with God the Father through His Son Jesus?

How To Know Jesus

crossbar

It's a very simple process on how to know Jesus....first, you have to have a desire to really want to know Him...to understand who He is...

If you read the first two pages of Christian Heart, then I believe you have an understanding of who Jesus is.

A person has to realize they are a sinner, lost and undone, and that they need a higher power in their life...to guide them.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Now I don't know why you logged on here at Christian Heart, but I don't believe it was just a coincidence...an accident...I believe with all my heart that you were led here by the Holy Spirit...and He is your start on your way to knowing Jesus.

Now, Who is the Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit is the third person in the Trinity of God. He is the one that searches out all truth and the one that tells us through our conscience what is right or wrong. Say for instance, you have told a lie at work or to your parents and deep down in your heart you know that is wrong and you feel sort of guilty about doing that...the Holy Spirit of God is telling you that it was wrong and you shouldn't lie. Another example is that you know in your heart that your life is not going right and when you get around christians and church people they make you uncomfortable talking about God... that is the Holy Spirit telling you that you need to put things right with God...with Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is a gentleman...He will not force you to change your ways...nor will He make you do anything you don't want to do....but He will speak to your heart and tell you that you need to make things right with God and lead you to Jesus, the one who can save you from your sins. Understand the Holy Spirit wants you to know who Jesus is...and He is calling you to accept Jesus as your savior....
Are You Being Called?

How To Be Saved

crossbar

In the Bible the scriptures reads:
  • Romans 10:9- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

  • Romans 10:10- For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

  • Romans 10:11- For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

  • Romans 10:12- For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

  • Romans 10:13- For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

It's so easy to be SAVED!!! Just call upon the name of the Lord and confess that you are a sinner..and that you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. He WILL save you!

The Sinner's Prayer

crossbar

...Say These Words...

Dear God in heaven, I'm a sinner. I know I need Jesus in my life. God, the bible says, that Jesus died for my sins at the cross. God, I believe that Jesus died for me and I believe you raised him from the grave. The bible says that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Father God, I have sin in my life that separates me from you and I'm so sorry for those sins.
God I want to be saved.
Jesus, come into my heart and take away the burden of sin in my life.
Help me Lord to be the person YOU want me to be.
Thank you, Jesus. I believe you have saved me.

Now if you have said that prayer with all your heart...then Praise the Lord....you are saved. Believe it! It's that simple! Now you need to read the guide provided here at Christian Heart on Your First Steps as a New Christian. It is so very important that once you have accepted this free gift of salvation, that you grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What If I Have Doubts?

Doubts. Everyone at one time or another if they are honest have doubts about themselves and their salvation. Maybe they aren't growing like they think they should, or maybe they just don't feel saved. Just stop thinking that right now! Don't DOUBT what the bible says. If the bible says you can call upon the name of the Lord and be saved, and you prayed that prayer earlier with an honest heart and really did mean it, then dear heart, YOU ARE SAVED!!
Don't let the devil or anyone else take away what you have received from the Lord Jesus Christ. The devil (and I would guess some of the people you know) would like nothing better than to see you give up what you have because you don't feel saved, or because you become frustrated. Don't let that happen. I encourage you to keep reading and praying and just leaning on the Lord. Believe me, it is worth it all to have the peace that Jesus brings to you in your heart.

Praise God I'm Saved!

< p> Praise God I'm Saved. How sweet those words taste! Those words should fill y our mouth with praise. It should thrill your soul to know that you are no longer in bondage to Satan and to sin. The reason why Jesus came to earth was to save our sinful souls...and He paid a big price for it...suffering and dying on the cross. But that was God's plan of salvation and Jesus willingly paid the price...Thank you Lord! I just praise you for what you've done for me!

How To Grow!

Now that you are a christian... you are a baby christian...and you have to remember that you have to crawl before you can run. God desires to see his babies grow into mature christians with a hunger for the meat of his word...but babies don't start out eating meat...do they? So just remember...you probably were a long time out in this sinful world, and you will probably make mistakes. But don't fret! The minute you know you have sinned...say help me Jesus...and forgive me...and He will. If you ask Him to forgive you with an honest heart, He will. He loves you and knows you aren't perfect. Just keep a sweet attitude and a humble spirit about you and you will be just fine. I tell all new converts...take baby steps...and then you won't fall down. Just remember these four things:

Be Baptized!

As a testimony to your new birth as a christian, everyone should be baptized. To be baptized is to symbolically bury the sinful man and to birth a new creature in Christ. The scriptures says in
Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Also Jesus was baptized...and we are to try to be like Jesus! Be baptized...it is a privilege of the believer!

Attend Church!

The church is not just an institution established by man. The church was established by God for man. The word *church* means the "called out ones". And that is what we are...the called out ones...remember the Holy Spirit called you out to know more about Jesus. Christ is the founder and head of the church. It is so important where you get your spiritual instruction and direction. All churches are not the same! A church should be committed to the preaching and teaching of the truth of God. One should find true preaching and teaching, good christian fellowship, support and encouragement from their church. Another thing to remember...the scriptures say in
Hebrews 10:25- Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much more, as ye see the day approaching.
So I advise you to get into a church that teaches God's Word.....find a church that is concerned about you spiritually and physically. And get involved! God established the church so that all his children could come together to worship Him in truth and spirit. When you start attending church...go to Sunday school...it will help you grow as a new christian. Do not take the church for granted...God made it for you...Praise the Lord!

Read Your Bible!

Some new christians grab their bibles and go straight to Revelation. Whoa!...stop right there! Remember what I told you earlier...you are a baby christian and you aren't ready to eat the meat of God's word. First off, a new Christian needs to start reading the first four books of the New Testament. In these books you will find out who Jesus really is. You will find out what He did while here on earth and why. Study these books and then finish reading the rest of the New Testament. Essentially your bible is your guidebook. It contains everything you need to know...about the past...your present...and future. Take time and read the bible. I've provided a download for a perfect little bible to put on your computer right here. If you want to download it a KJV Bible click HERE!. If you have trouble understanding the King James Version get a copy of the New International Version which is written more in today's language. The scriptures say in
Second Timothy 2:15 - Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
I once heard a preacher say that everyday reading God's word is a good day. Reading is another way to grow as a christian....so READ your bible.

Pray!

Praying daily is the key to spiritual developement. Regardless of how strong and mature you may become as a christian, you will never be so spiritual and holy that you will not need to pray. Jesus, the Son of God, prayed everyday! Prayer is a privilege that God has given us. The scriptures say in
Hebrew 4:16- Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
It's not hard to pray...just talk to the Lord. You don't need any fancy words ...just talk like you would normally talk to anyone. Also don't feel bad if you don't know how to pray...even the disciples had to asked Jesus how to pray!(Luke11:1) There is a great prayer guideline in Matthew 6:9-15. In these verses the scriptures say that when we pray:

Make a committment to pray daily...you will grow so much as a christian if you do...and remember, God wants you to talk to him...He loves you!

Hold on to God!

Hold on to God. Hold on to what you have...namely salavation through the Lord Jesus Christ. Don't give up or give in to the world. If you desire to grow in the Lord you will spend time in the Word and in prayer. You are precious in the Lord's eyes...in fact you are now His child. As a new convert you will have to learn that obedience to God is not always the easiest way, but remember it is the best way. God loves you and knows what's best for you. Trust in Him...He says He will never leave you or forsake you. Believe and have faith! God is true! He won't ever let you down. Just keep on walking those baby steps...keep on praising the Lord...keep on attending church...keep on reading the Word...keep on praying daily....keep on holding on...and soon you will be a mighty christian for the glory of our dear Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

AMEN!
